We ask that you go to DPS and have them perform a criminal background check. Even if you have a semi-checkered past, please don’t automatically exclude yourself. We understand that sometimes life happens. We also understand that who you were may not be who you are. Bring your criminal background check to us and feel free to explain anything questionable in your past. Let us decide if we can work with you on your situation or not.

You will need to take a form to your doctor to have them fill it out. This form acknowledges that your heart and overall physical conditioning are at an acceptable level for the sort of strenuous work that you can expect when fighting a fire, working a crash, etc. The doctor will ask you some questions. Check your breathing and heart rate. Assess your weight. And sign off on the form.
